AIRPORT USED FOR TRAININGBackcountry Airstrip OperationsFrom April through September or October (depending on weather conditions) backcountry airstrip operations are conducted in Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. From October to March backcountry airstrip flights are conducted in southern Utah (too hot in the summer) or British Columbia. FEESAircraft rental varies from about $90.00 per hour for a Cessna 172 with 180-horsepower engine, $105.00 per hour for a Cessna 172 Hawk XP (195 to 210 horsepower), to $150.00 per hour for a Cessna 180 (230 horsepower).
